"Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates" (Proverbs 31:31).

It is very natural for women to be with each other talking, laughing, sharing concerns, and crying together. But the idea is for the women to come together as sisters in Christ to recognize and understand their need of spiritual growth. For God can do amazing things in our churches and homes when we have a productive women's ministry.

What is the Spiritual Growth?

"As his divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by glory and virtue" (2 Peter 1:3).

We feed our bodies more than three meals a day, some of us follow the food pyramid to maintain a healthy and balanced diet and yet we neglect our spiritual health. If we can imagine that we can only eat one meal a day and it only included fat, salt, and sugar and nothing else, after some time we will end up with sick bodies or if we can eat once a week a healthy meal and expect to have a healthy body. This is how most of our spiritual life feels like, that is why we lack spiritual growth because we neglect our spirit and feed it all sort of worldly answers to our needs or once a week. We need to remember that we are what we eat. We need to realize the important of our knowledge and understanding of God's word:

  1. Will help us fight temptations
  2. Increase our faith and trust in God
  3. Allow God to fill us and guide us
  4. Gradually will become more loving, joyful, kind, self-controlled
  5. Becoming more Christ-like
  6. Becoming effective and productive part of the body of Christ
  7. Becoming godly women regardless of our personality, age, and gifts in the church and that will play a big role in the life of the church members.

Why it is Important For Women to Work Together?

"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good steward of the manifold grace of God" (1 Peter 4:10).

  1. Recognize through our prayers we can consciously connect with God and open ourselves to God's guidance
  2. Recognize the life of praise and worship is equally important with the life of serving others
  3. We worship God for what he is doing for our lives, families, and church
  4. We encourage supporting and serving others with love
  5. We learn genuine love and devotion through the Gospel
  6. Practice the lifestyle of godly and responsible living
  7. We eagerly serve God and the church with unity and zeal
  8. Building self-esteem and leadership qualities among women
  9. Growing healthy and Godly women will benefit the whole body of the church
  10. Broaden knowledge of women through biblical study
  11. We learn from each other and grow in the spirit together
  12. Recognizing of everyone potential, spiritual gifts, ideas and use them to complement each other and for the good of everyone
  13. Team work will meet the needs of the women in the church
  14. We learn from each other's experiences to be better wives, mothers and human beings
  15. Create an atmosphere where women of all ages can realize the need of spiritual maturity and fellowship
  16. Devote our time and talents for God's eternal purpose and to one another in love, honor, and respect
  17. Learn to put our difference away and see the chance for Christian friendship and services of others
  18. Encourage a social gathering between members for the purpose of learning from each otherwise living
  19. Enlarge our vision for women by being a role model and plan ahead for our young women generation
  20. Learn to share and get along with each other
  21. Encouraging other women to join and commit to serving God, the church, their families and each other
  22. Learn a new attitude and gain godly characters enable them to have better relationship with their spouses and their children

What Kind of Women Are We Looking For?

"The Fruit of the righteous is a tree of life" (Psalm 11:31).

  1. Who loves God's word and model godly discipline to qualify to teach what is good and profitable for everyone
  2. Who can demonstrate patience, kindness, and grace as our lord Jesus Christ demonstrated for us
  3. Who are teachable, they have the ability to listen and use the experiences and ideas of the priest and others
  4. Who choose the road with obstacles over others and walk in it because they recognize it is the right one for them
  5. Who when they make a mistake they admit it and learn from it and then use that knowledge to help others
  6. Who although they are in pain they still extend their hand and their hearts to others in needs
  7. Who when they fall down they pull themselves up and start over again and again
  8. Who is responsible enough to step out of their comfort zone and reach out to other women with all what they got

"Blessed are those who keep justice. And he who does righteousness at all times" (Psalm 106:3).

We need to recognize that the barrier to serving others is being occupied with our own agendas, dreams, and pleasures and yet serving without love, trying to earn approval from others, or without humility can leave us burned out and bitter in the end. So we should examine our motive when it comes to serving. Remember God is looking at our heart and He knows who is willingly and eagerly serving out of love.
