Condolences to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II

March 28, 2014

On behalf of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States, clergy, monastics, deacons, servants, and all the congregations in all the churches, we reverently convey our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II for the departure of his blessed and pious mother, Mrs. Samia Naseem Istafanous. Her exemplary life of faith and devotion transformed a home into a church, a seminary, and a roadmap to heaven which is evinced in our blessed shepherd and patriarch, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II. Indeed, the righteous complete life on earth with honor, faith, and goodwill, and thus, await their eternal joy with the Lord. "Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You" (Psalm 73:25).

May God rest the soul of the beloved mother, Mrs. Samia Naseem Istafanous, in the Paradise of Joy and may He shed His perfect love and grant peace and solace to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and his blessed family and all her beloved
