Fr. Angelos Boghdadi is in the Paradise of Joy

COLLEYVILLE, TX. December 21, 2012 -- It is with great sorrow that we announce the departure of our beloved father, Rev. Fr. Angelos Habib Boghdadi.

H.H. Pope Shenouda III ordained him priest on September 23, 1973. From 1974 to 1978, he served churches throughout the United States in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Delaware, Harrisburg, Virginia Beach, and Pittsburgh. He then continued his service in 1978 to 1988 at St. Mary and Aba Ruwees Coptic Orthodox Church. From 1988 to 1992, Fr. Angelos served in Colorado and on December 26, 1992, he served in St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Tampa, FL. In 1997, H.G. Bishop Youssef ordained him hegoman. Fr. Angelos has been serving within the Diocese of the Southern United States for nearly 20 years.

May the Lord repose his blessed soul in the paradise of joy and offer comfort to his family and congregation.
