"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night" (Psalm 1:1-2).

Is there more wonder and joy in life than being in love with your creator? He is the only one who can make you feel loved and special and through pain will make you rejoice. He will cover you with many gifts to help you through your path to Him and He will never leave you and forsake you.

When you give your life to Him, He will pull out the old garment from your heart and He will give you a new life full of godly love, wisdom and understanding.

When the lord opens your heart and your mind you will discover a new wealth of joy and peace that you had never experience before and you will discover that your knowledge and wisdom were nothing and God's wisdom is the one that will fill your spirit and change your earthly nature into heavenly one filled with many gifts from Him.

Sadly many Christians today they live and act like the people of the world. There is no Christ appearance in them and they seek more and more out of life and they refuse to be led and directed by anyone. They feel that the idea of choosing a narrow road with suffering over a wide easy road with many pleasures in hand is not appealing to them. And they don't realize that the road they choose will end with no fulfillment and disaster.

For without God's love and guidance we can not gain any purpose in life and we end up empty and lacking for only Him who can fill up our soul and satisfy our desires.

Other Christians will follow the steps and the rules, out of obligation they will come to church every Sunday, listen to the words of God, and partake of communion than go on with their lives as their please. They imagine that they can walk with God and walk in the world. Obviously it will never work because they can't walk in two roads in the same time; they will end up losing everything.

The question are: Are you after God's heart? Do you desire to follow His plan for you? Or are you comfortable the way you are, and living a lie?

The person who is after God's heart never settles and never satisfied for just a prayer, reading the Holy Bible, meditating, helping someone in need, going to church...etc. But he will have the desire to follow His Lord step by step all day for the rest of his life.

For most of us that does not come over night, but spiritual growth is a life time commitment, and it is required to direct our desire to be with God and to live His word. Then step by step we will grow and change to better human been and the more we come closer to our goal and see different kind of beauty and amazing fruits of the spirit in us and around us the more our desire will increase.

We must first get our priority straight, and recognize that being closer to God is our first priority...How?

  • Leave our ego behind
  • Pray and ask God to help us and guide us
  • Give our heart totally to Him
  • Know His words
  • Commit ourselves to Him
  • Know there is a price to pay in following Him
  • Teach others about God through our good works

"Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies" (Psalm 40:4).

What kind of a person is God seeking?

When we read the Holy Bible we have to keep in mind that, all the people that we consider today saints or godly people back than they were an ordinary people with no perfect personality or great talent. On the contrary they all had weakness and experienced failures. For God does not look for heroes, perfect or strong men.

All they had in common is the desire to be with God, willingly followed God's purpose for their life and obey His word as best as they could:

  • Noah: Earth was corrupted and was full of violence, Noah was just a man who walked with God and found grace in the eyes of God (Genesis 6)
  • Abraham: Departed from Haran as the Lord said to Him and came to the land of Canaan (Genesis 12)
  • Moses: He was so humble that God used him to led His people out of Egypt (Exodus 3)
  • Daniel: His faithfulness and love to the lord's words and laws was throughout his life (Daniel 9)
  • Paul: Despite his pain and sickness he walked in the spirit of the Lord so the power of Jesus Christ may cover him (1 Corinthians 12)

"Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding" (Proverbs 3:13).

David grew with the fear of the Lord and he followed God's plan for him but as all of us had faults. But despite all David wrong doing and stumbles, he always came back to the Lord with great repentant and sorrow. God called David a man after God's heart. Because although we can only see his faults (Uriah was killed, a child was conceived from adultery, and a child died) and puzzles by them. God can see his heart, his desire, his willingness to follow Him.

Make it a habit to desire spiritual growth, to be godly, and to serve the Lord and be guided by Him in your life and little by little you will find gradually changes in yourself and in the world around you and the more you get closer to the Lord you will be:

  • Better husband/wife
  • Better father/mother
  • Better coworker
  • Better human been
  • Can stand against temptations
  • Can be strong in the time of difficult situations

I pray that we can invite the Lord to come to our heart and let Him guide us to what is the ideal plan for our life. So we can be pleasing to Him and become the one who ought to be in the sight of the Lord.

You are the One for Me

Once I was a man with no purpose in hand
Seeking many earthy pleasures to satisfy my plan
I believed that everything is under control
But my hunger was still growing in my soul
For I did not realize that I was deaf and blind
Until you opened my eyes and let me see all your purpose in me
And let me hear the truth that was there for me
I find out that I was living a lie
For through my power I was never satisfied
For you are the source of my whole been
And nothing else matter then to be with You
So let me humble myself and change my attitude
And give me strength to serve you O Lord
And carry Your cross with You all my life
So I can be the son that You desire
