What is the Church's view on the Big Bang—not necessarily the theory of the Big Bang, which entails the ideas of evolution, but that idea that God, when He said, "Let there be light", could have used a Big Bang, or there was a Big Bang as a result of God's words?

Though there may be some contemplation on the convergence of science and religion regarding the big bang theory, the Church does not provide an official stance on this thought mainly because creation was a divine and deliberate event with order and purpose, whereas the big bang theory, in general, is believed by non-creationist to be a random occurrence.
