The Mentoring Program
A Helping Hand

Mentoring is the process of helping an individual develops skills, knowledge, and attitudes in order to set and reach important life goals. Mentoring is a developmental art; it is one of the oldest forms of human development.

The Mentoring Program of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States invites you to serve as a mentor. By serving as a mentor you will be a guide: planning, leading, directing, motivating, and encouraging. You will be a resource; allowing the mentee to ask questions without fear of ridicule or disappointment. You will be a support through good communication, open availability, trust, care, positive affirmation, and gentle critiquing. This is an opportunity to reciprocate. Taking the time to reach out to others and share your life's wisdom and experience is probably the least expensive and most powerful way to change the world, one life at a time.

If you are interested in participating in the Mentoring Program, please contact your priest and the program coordinator Isis Hanna at or 239-994-4882.
