COLLEYVILLE, TX. February 12, 2015 -- The preparation for the Holy Great Fast will begin on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Therefore, on Saturday, February 14, 2015, we will read the readings of the Pre-Fast Saturday from the Katameros of the Holy Great Fast with all the hymns and responses according to the rites of the Church.

Sunday, February 15, 2015 / Meshir 8, 1731, is the last Sunday prior to the Holy Great Fast. This is also the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord into the Temple. Thus the prayers will be in the joyful tune and the readings will be from the 6th of Tobe not of the Preparation Sunday for the Holy Great Fast.

Also, the service should be conducted as outlined in Coptic Reader, where the service follows the rite of the Presentation of the Lord into the Temple feast. This includes all hymns and responses.
