The Holy Bible is a Holy Book of Salvation. It is not a mere cosmic, history, or scientific book. The Holy Bible is the Book of Salvation as it relates to the human being. Salvation covers topics from slavery to redemption. God freed us from the punishment we deserved due to falling in sin by the ransom, which the Lord Jesus Christ paid, on the Cross. Therefore, the Lord Jesus Christ set us free from bondage and sin, allowing us a new relationship with God following the forgiveness of our sins.

The Holy Bible indicates the power of the Lord Jesus Christ in redemption and forgiveness of our sins by His Blood that was poured out on the Cross. This was the ransom that was paid for our salvation. The Lord Jesus Christ put on a human body and carried our sins and paid the punishment, which we rightly deserved in order to free all human beings.

Results of the Lord Jesus Christ Salvation:

  1. Redeemed us by His blood on the Cross
  2. Made us righteous to God, for He set us free from our sins
  3. Finally will free us at His Second Coming

This salvation with the Lord Jesus Christ's Blood is the CRIMSON THREAD OF SALVATION.

The concept of salvation through blood is not a new concept. Originally, the earth and the heavens were beautiful, perfect, and pure. But when Adam and Eve disobeyed God through Satan's deception, they realized that they became naked and hid behind trees covering themselves with broad fig leaves. This is where we learn that human cover does not hide or overlook sin. Therefore, God slayed an animal and took its skin and made two covers, one for Adam and one for Eve. This was the beginning of the CRIMSON THREAD OF SALVATION.

It was the first ransom that God Himself gave by His own Hands. It was also the first experience in which Adam learned that death is the result of sin. He observed the crimson stain of the blood of the innocent animal, the life of which was sacrificed in order to cover the shame of their sin. It can also be noted that this began the principle of "Sacrifice and Forgiveness." According to the Word of God, at the end during the resurrection from the dead, we shall see the glory of the saints who cleaned their white robes in the blood of the Lamb.

Within the same context of the story of Adam and Eve we can also reflect upon what God said to the serpent and how the meaning can be transferred to the scene of the Resurrection. "God said unto the serpent, "I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed. It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Genesis 3:15).

People meditated on God's Word to Satan for many centuries and we know now that this is about the long adversary between the hatred of Satan and the Love of God presented to us in the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. The nails bruised his heels but as a result of this He was victorious against Satan and bruised his head.

God appointed the prophet Moses in order to save Israel from Egyptian slavery by the miracle of the blood of the Passover lamb. When God saw the blood mark upon the lentil and on the side posts, the Lord passed over the door and did not allow the destroyer to enter the house (Exodus 12:23). This salvation was also through blood, the blood of the CRIMSON THREAD OF SALVATION.

Joshua crossed the Jordan River in order to capture the land. Rehab, the prostitute, saved the spies that were sent by Joshua. They promised in return to save her and all her family if she tied a crimson rope on the window of her house. She did as she was told and her life and all her family's were spared. This was the CRIMSON THREAD OF SALVATION.

At this time of the holy feast of the resurrection with these examples before us, may we all reflect upon the CRIMSON THREAD OF SALVATION.
